Admission of students participating “12th ASEAN Cultural Youth Forum and 2nd ASEAN +3 at Indonesia”

ASEAN Cultural Youth Forum is an annual activity held by ASEAN Universities Network coordinated with its members in term of rotting host. In 2007, VNU-HCM, as an AUN member, successfully hosted the 6^th Forum.

According to AUN notices, in 2014, the 12^th Forum will be hosted in Indonesia University and also the 2^nd with participants from ASEAN +3 (China, Japan and South Korea) from 7^th September 2014 to 12^th September 2014 with its theme of “Welcoming ASEAN Community through Cultural Diversity). By the greeting theme, Organizing Committee hopes its members will capture the essence of cultural heritage, from which enhancing their understanding and respect for Southeast and East Asian culture.

Through social activities (presentation, workshop, cultural performance and reality tour), the Forum will create valuable chances for students to expand their knowledge and respect for Southeast Asian culture during the area’s integration period. .

Details information:

1.     Number of students / members of AUN: 04 people.

2.     Requirement:

·       Ability to communicate and good presentation skills in English.

·       Ability to sing or perform traditional instruments; priority to those who are in the performance team at university.

·       Comprehensive knowledge of Vietnam history, culture, economy and society.

·       Brief understanding of ASEAN and Vietnam integration space in 2015.

3.     Finance:

·       Organizing Committee is responsible for accommodation, traveling and food expenses taken place during the time.

·       VNU-HCM will pays for general expenses such as presents, uniforms training and choreography remuneration.

·       Student who pacticipate this forum will pay 16.500.000 VND/student (770 USD). The money could be changed during the real time, including:

Recognizing this as an opportunity for VNU students to expend international relationship and cooperation with students from ASEAN countries, an great chance to express themselves and promote learning network in the region, practice communication skills in an international environment, heading to ASEAN Community 2015, through which they are able to build an image of dynamic, creative Vietnamese students trying to integrate to international students, contributing to enhance VNU-HCM reputation in general.
