Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) has received information from Chulalongkorn University about the 1st ASEAN Music and Culture Festival. This activity is held by Chulalongkorn University in order to expand student’s knowledge about Southeast Asian music as well as culture during the area’s integration period.
According to Chulalongkorn University, the festival is held in Thailand from 30th July 2014 to August 4th 2014
1. Number of students: members of AUN: 6 people.
2. Requirement:
- Ability to communicate and good presentation skills in English.
- Ability to sing or perform traditional instruments; priority to those who are in the performance team at university.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Vietnam history, culture, economy and society.
- Brief understanding of ASEAN and Vietnam integration space in 2015.

Finance:
- Chulalongkorn University is responsible for accommodation, traveling and food expense take place during the time.
- University members from VNU has students selected will provide 3 million VND per person for general expense (including souvenirs, uniforms, training and choreography remuneration and rent costumes).
- Selected students will pay for flight ticket (reference price for a Vietnam Airlines returned ticket Ho Chi Minh City – Bangkok. Economic class is 5.633.000 VND) and any other individual expense.
Recognizing this as an opportunity for VNU students to expend international relationship and cooperation with students from Southeast countries, an great chance to express themselves and promote learning network in the region, practice communication skills in an international environment, through which they are able to build an image of dynamic, creative Vietnamese students trying to integrate to international students, contributing to enhance VNU-HCM reputation in general, VNU-HCM proposes members coordinate to fund for student participating the Festival.
